Procedure
-
1Heat a dry pot over medium-high heat and lightly toast the star anise, cinnamon stick, ginger, and onion for 2 minutes until fragrant and slightly charred.
-
2Pour 700mL of water into the pot and bring it to a rolling boil.
-
3Sprinkle 15g of Menu Beef Powder Mix 250G into the boiling water and stir until completely dissolved to create a deep, savory beef base.
-
4Lower the heat and let the broth simmer with the spices for 10 minutes to infuse the classic Pho aromatics.
-
5While the broth simmers, cook the pre-soaked rice noodles in a separate pot of boiling water for 1 to 2 minutes until tender, then drain and place in a large serving bowl.
-
6Strain the beef broth to remove the whole spices, ginger, and onion, then return the clear liquid to the pot and bring it back to a boil.
-
7Arrange the raw, thinly sliced beef sirloin directly on top of the cooked noodles in the bowl.
-
8Pour the boiling hot MENU BEEF POWDER broth over the raw beef; the heat from the broth will cook the thin slices to a perfect medium-rare instantly.
-
9Top the bowl with a handful of fresh bean sprouts, basil leaves, and chopped cilantro.
-
10Serve immediately with a side of lime wedges, Sriracha, and Hoisin sauce for personal seasoning.
